Can I use ethanol in my vehicle?

A combination of 10% ethanol and 90% unleaded petrol can be used in your vehicle, provided the octane rating is at least as high as that recommended for unleaded petrol.

My Mitsubishi has a carburettor fuel system built before 1991. Can I use ethanol-blended petroleum?

In this instance, Mitsubishi does not recommend you use ethanol-blended petroleum. These vehicles may experience hot fuel handling concerns and may experience a lower level of durability in some fuel system components.

Is it necessary to make changes to my Mitsubishi vehicle in order to use ethanol-blended fuels?

All Mitsubishi vehicles built since 1986 are fully compatible with up to 10% ethanol fuel in the mixture. If your car was built prior to 1986 or you are unsure of its age, please Contact Us before putting any fuel other than that recommended in your Owner Handbook into your vehicle.

Will using ethanol blends affect my warranty?

Every Mitsubishi Warranty approves the use of up to a 10% blend. Anything above this may cause engine and fuel system damage and will not be covered by warranty. Please be aware that Mitsubishi reserves the right to deny warranty for any failure or operational condition attributed to the use of poor quality fuel in your vehicle.
