Mitsubishi Dealer Servicing

Mitsubishi Dealer Servicing

Do I have to have my vehicle serviced at a Mitsubishi dealership to maintain the warranty?

Mitsubishi strongly recommends that scheduled services are performed by your Mitsubishi dealer. Our qualified Dealers benefit from full factory support, and the equipment and knowledge required to service all Mitsubishi vehicles. However, services can be carried out by another qualified service provider if the service is performed in accordance with the requirements detailed in your Vehicle Service and Warranty book. In this instance, Mitsubishi highly recommends the use of Genuine Parts and Mitsubishi Coolant. Oils used should also meet or exceed the ratings listed in the Vehicle Owner’s handbook. If servicing is performed by someone other than a Mitsubishi Dealer, and a concern occurs which is a result of incorrect servicing, using other than Genuine Parts or Coolant, or using the incorrect oil specification, then warranty will be affected and denied on that or related components. For more specific details, please ask your dealer.

Do I have to have warranty repairs done by a Mitsubishi Dealership or can my local agent do these?

If your Mitsubishi requires work under warranty, it must be taken to a Mitsubishi dealer. This is because your warranty is a Mitsubishi Factory Warranty. If you live in a particularly remote area (e.g. more than 3 hours drive from the closest Mitsubishi Dealer), you should contact the Service Manager at the Dealer at which you purchased your vehicle to request their assistance in arranging the repair at a local non-Mitsubishi repairer.
