Mitsubishi Motors Australia (MMAL) has helped boost the fortunes of Monbulk Cricket Club with the announcement of its successful win of the main prize in the Melbourne Stars Club competition.
MMAL and the Melbourne Stars teamed up to award the winning club with a cheque for $10,000, which will be used to enhance their flourishing junior program and provide much needed funds for the club’s annual community events that raise money for local charities and other community causes.
MMAL’s Victoria and Tasmania State Manager Brett Aspden was on hand to deliver the cash prize during Wednesday’s Stars vs Perth Scorchers Big Bash match to Monbulk Cricket Club’s Vice President Daniel Clark.
“We’re really proud to be associated with the Melbourne Stars Club competition, which helps ignite a passion for cricket and sport in our communities through supporting local cricket clubs,” he said.
“The Monbulk Cricket Club is very closely integrated with its local community and works hard to connect to people of all ages and backgrounds.
“It’s this type of community spirit and passion that Mitsubishi Motors and our dealer network are keen to encourage and support through our association with the Melbourne Stars.”
Mitsubishi Motors has been a proud sponsor of Big Bash League’s Melbourne Stars since 2013.
