    About the Role

    Based in our Adelaide office (Tonsley) and reporting to the Aftersales planning manager, the primary responsibility of the National Channel Manager is to achieve Hard & Crash Parts revenue and profit objectives in line with the MMAL Business Plans.

    The National Channel Manager works closely with our MMAL Dealer Network, Trade and Fleet customers to Maintain a productive relationship with external stakeholders that is mutually beneficial, as well as create an engaging relationship that is interactive, satisfying and built on trust. This role collaborates across functions within our Head Office to develop strategies, plans and activities to maximise Hard & Crash part sales and profit in line with MMAL business plan.

    The National Channel Manager will work closely with pricing analysts to determine and implement competitive pricing and margin across Hard & Crash Parts categories, develop exit strategies and plans for excess inventory and ensure effective strategies are in place for obsolescence at the end of product life-cycle.


    The Successful Applicant

    To be successful in the role you will;

    • Strong leadership skills
    • Have the ability to execute strategies and plans
    • Demonstrate flexibility and problem solving skills
    • Foster trust relationships with affiliate suppliers to achieve better quality of services
    • Proven experience as category manager or similar role (Automotive Industry Preferred)
    • Sound understanding and experience of dealer operations
    • Solid knowledge of category management, marketing and sales principles
    • Understanding of data analysis and forecasting methods
    • Sound planning, organising and an understanding of supply chain principles
    • Excellent negotiation skills
    • Demonstrated cross-team communication skills
    • Ability to develop relationships with business partners (internal and external)
    • Proven track record of setting and achieving targets and objectives
    • Microsoft office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
    • SAP (preferred)
    • Nidasu (desirable)
