    About the Role

    This is a very rare and exciting opportunity for a mechanic or automotive electrician to get out of the workshop and into the field to represent an OEM! You will be able to organise yourself and work autonomously as you support our customers by completing outstanding recall rectifications on vehicles.  With the customer at the heart of everything we do, we are taking the workshop to those customers who are unable to present their vehicle to a Dealership for the compulsory rectification works.

    This position is based in our New South Wales office, however you will be working primarily in the field, travelling intrastate and occasionally interstate. This role is offered as a full time fixed term contract until December 2020.

    Responsibilities Include:

    As the Field Service Technician you will have responsibility for;

    • Safety- comply with all MMAL safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment
    • Technical Service- Removal and replacement of affected TAKATA inflators, and addressing other outstanding recall rectifications on the vehicle as prescribed
    • Customer Experience- Provide an outstanding customer experience and act as an MMAL brand ambassador
    • Administration- Maintain inventory and records associated with work performed

     

    What you’ll need to Join Our Team

    To be successful in the role you will have;

    • A formal qualification as an automotive electrician or mechanic
    • Proven capability to work autonomously, often in remote locations and occasionally out of hours
    • Highly developed organisational skills to ensure efficiency and that customer’s needs are met
    • Have the ability to travel regularly and for extended periods
    • Strong planning, organisation and time management skills
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
    • An ability to problem solve creatively
    • Sound knowledge of WH&S processes
    • A genuine passion for delivering an outstanding Customer Experience
    • Experience using Microsoft suite of programs, particularly excel.
    • Experience using SAP and technical diagnostic tools is an advantage
