    About the Role

    Based in our National head office in Adelaide and reporting to the Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A). The Financial Planning & Analysis Business Partner – Gross Margin & Cash Flow is responsible for partnering with the Product Strategy and Supply Chain functions, budgeting/forecasting for P structure (Revenue & COGs) and logistics costs for vehicles, variance analysis including volume & mix vs performance variance analysis, and Cash Flow forecasting/reporting.

    As the Financial Planning & Analysis Business Partner, your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

    • Reviewing the P-structure with Product Strategy
    • Maintain update vehicle pricing and costing in SAP and forecast database
    • Maintain monthly accounting and analysis associated with revenue and variable costs
    • Responsible for vehicle variable profit, storage and outbound transport (OBT) annual budget and rolling forecast
    • Evaluate, analyse and report to Management on variable profit variances and logistics actual expenditure Vs budget
    • Prepare annual and monthly cash flow forecasts through co-ordination, completion and analysis of data and information received
    • Monitor cash position, utilising short to medium term forecasts to identify cash surplus and shortfalls
    • Provide recommendations on actions required to optimise MMAL’s short term funding

     

    The Successful Applicant

    To be successful in the role you will;

    • Have minimum 3 years Accounting experience working in an Accounting / Analytical role in a corporate environment or accounting firms
    • Tertiary qualification (degree or higher, or equivalent business experience) in a relevant discipline – Economics, Accounting
    • CA/CPA status or near completion
    • Experience in finance business partnering (desirable)
    • Gross Margin management accounting experience (desirable)
    • Involvement in Financial system implementation (desirable)
    • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
    • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and communication skills
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Sound analytical capability
    • Understanding of SAP is desirable
