Ergon Energy is the latest company to equip its fleet with Mitsubishi’s cutting edge electric vehicle technology, through a fleet of new Outlander PHEV plug-in hybrid SUVs. The Queensland electricity company has procured the Outlander PHEVs as part of its strategy to reduce carbon emissions and embrace emerging technologies, which includes promoting the benefits of electric vehicles.
Mitsubishi Motors will introduce two new 4x2 Triton GLX variants to its 2016 line-up, adding a new entry level 2.4-litre petrol GLX Single Cab from $21,990 RRP and a manual transmission version of the GLX Double Cab from $33,490 RRP.
The car will be driven, and team captained, by Hiroshi Masuoka who posted successive victories in the Dakar Rally 2002 and 2003. Technical support will be supplied by team manager and technical director Mr Yasuo Tanaka from MMC’s EV Component Research Department, Development Engineering Office.
