We love to get out in our Mitsubishi 4WD’s and hit the tracks, but safe 4WD’ing requires a lot of training and practice. We took a Pajero and a Triton along to the Triple Diamond 4WD Club’s Driver Training Weekend to see what these courses are all about.

Practical Motoring asked 4x4-driving newbie, Hannah Stratham, to take the wheel of a brand-new Mitsubishi Triton and pilot it the 1600km from Brisbane to Birdsville.

The Mitsubishi Triton is ready for almost any situation you throw at it, from towing a camper trailer down the highway to tackling difficult terrain in the countryside.  Follow Robert and his family as they drive from Sydney for a weekend camping getaway to Taralga Farm in regional New South Wales and put the Triton through its paces.

The best Triton ever has landed. See how it performed at the launch on Fraser Island.

Photographer Chris Mangan set off on the popular trek from Adelaide to Broome with his Mitsubishi Challenger and a 19ft caravan in tow. He photographed the trip and let us relive some of the journey below:
