Utilising a Fleet of 13 Mitsubishi Outlander Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV), Orana provides people with disability the opportunity to live and work within their local community, fulfil their dreams and become valued and productive community members.

The PHEVs are predominantly used by Orana’s team of Client Coaches, who are responsible for supporting people with disability with everyday activities, from driving to the supermarket and appointments to attending recreational activities and sporting events.

Orana CEO, Mr Nick Mihalaras, said the decision to choose the Outlander PHEV was as easy as it was logical.

“The PHEVs are such a perfect fit to suit Orana’s requirements, thanks to their practical SUV layout, five-star safety and fuel-efficient electric vehicle technology,” says Nick.

“Not only are we able to experience reductions in fuel consumption and emissions as a result of the PHEVs hybrid technology, the unwavering assistance provided by the Fleet team at Mitsubishi Motors enables us to carry out our ongoing services and programs to support people with a disability without interruption.” Nick said

The relationship between Mitsubishi Motors Australia and Orana spans more than 25 years. As Nick explains, it is a relationship that has grown into one of the most important partnerships Orana enjoys today.

“Mitsubishi has demonstrated a community spirit and a corporate social responsibility that not many organisations at the local level demonstrate. We saw the introduction of Mitsubishi’s Outlander PHEV, as a great opportunity to continue to work with our greatest and longest supporters,” says Nick.

“We are very proud that twenty-five years on, Orana and Mitsubishi continue to work together to help not only make a significant contribution to the environment, but provide a great vehicle to help staff assist our clients in their daily lives.” Nick said.
