Orana Community Empowered by Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV

1st Jun, 2015

Mitsubishi Motors Australia has handed over the keys to 13 Outlander PHEV plug-in hybrids to its long-term business partner, Orana Incorporated.

The liveried fleet of advanced and super quiet vehicles will be utilised by Orana’s team of Client Coaches who are responsible for supporting their clients with everyday activities, from driving to the supermarket and appointments to attending recreational activities and sporting events.

Mitsubishi’s world-first plug-in hybrid SUV was the perfect fit for Orana thanks to its practical SUV layout, five-star safety and fuel-efficient electric vehicle technology.

The relationship between Mitsubishi Motors Australia and Orana spans more than 25 years. Today, Orana continues to be responsible for assembling car service packs which are distributed to Mitsubishi dealerships across the country.

Orana CEO Nicholas Mihalaras said the organisation has been looking for an opportunity to show its support for Mitsubishi Motors.

“Mitsubishi has demonstrated a community spirit and a corporate social responsibility that not many organisations at the local level demonstrate.

“We saw the introduction of Mitsubishi’s Outlander PHEV, with its highly efficient electric vehicle technology, outstanding safety and SUV practicality, as a great opportunity to work with our greatest and longest supporters.

“We are very proud that twenty-five years on, Orana and Mitsubishi continue to work together to help not only make a significant contribution to the environment, but provide a great vehicle to help staff assist our clients in their daily lives.”
